46 YEARS OF GRM WINDOWS
2024 saw us celebrate 45 incredible years of trading here at GRM Windows.
This year marks an important moment in our timeline here at GRM Windows. Not only is 2024 our 45th year of trading, but also our 30th year in partnership with our supply partners REHAU, and Managing Director Richard Gambling’s 30th year within the company.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who have been instrumental in our success over the years. Your hard work and commitment have helped us grow and thrive in the industry, in particular with our recent developments within the Passivhaus sector. We’re also grateful for our amazing industry partners, including REHAU, who have been with us every step of the way, contributing to our journey of innovation and excellence.
Last but not least, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful clients and customers who have been with us throughout our 45-year adventure.
Here’s to many more years of success, growth, and continued partnership!
How did we celebrate?
To mark this milestone, and over 20 successful years in partnership with our friends at REHAU UK – Window Solutions GRM Windows Owner & Managing Director Richard Gambling, decided to do a charity bike ride. And when we say it was a mammoth task – it really was.
Richard, is a long-time cycling fanatic, who would happily ride 100km just for fun! But this was a mammoth challenge. The plan was to ride from the REHAU production facility in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, over to PVCR, REHAU’s recycling centre in Runcorn, and then headed for ‘home’ via the REHAU head office in Ross-On-Wye, finishing at ‘home’, the GRM factory, all the way down here in Pontyclun.
The biggest challenge was that he wanted to complete it under 45 hours! That’s not far short of 450km over some quite challenging terrain and some busy roads in under 45 hours, to celebrate 45 years of GRM all whilst raising money for the Velindre Cancer Centre.
We’re so pleased to announce that Richard smashed it! And the whole GRM team were waiting for his arrival back at the factory to cheer him through the gates along with a giant cheque, a beer and cake!
This mammoth task raised a whopping £4,245 for Velindre Cancer Centre – An enormous thank you from all of us here at GRM for the incredible support and donations you’ve all given, we’ve been truly overwhelmed. We know these funds (and every penny they raise) are crucial to the incredible work the Velindre team do every single day.
